December 2018:
Just a blast from the past to wish you all a very Happy Christmas!
Show Champions - W Royal Flush, W King of Hearts, Moorbrook Golden Girl of Wansleydale & W. Scarlet Ribbon Well the end of another remarkable year. Wansleydale bred or owned dogs have won 12CC and 8 reserve CCs (inc 2 Best in Show & 3 Reserve Best in Show awards along with 3 Best of Breeds at championship show level) At Open show level, along with many first prizes, Wansleydale have had 4 Best Puppy in Show awards, 2 reserve Best in Show and 2 Best in Show. In addition we have 2 new Junior Warrant winners - litter brothers W. Quicksilver and W. Dorian Gray, 2 new International Champions - W. Woodpecker at Berrywood and W. Orszak Gold and 2 new Polish Junior champions - W. Maraschino and litter sister W. Strega! These wins have resulted in Wansleydale being awarded the "Our Dogs" Top English Setter Breeders award 2018 for the second consecutive year. At present "Our Dogs" have not finalised the results of their "Top Sire and "Top Brood Bitch" competitions but it is highly likely that Luke (Sh Ch W. King of Hearts at Bramstorm) and Scarlett (Sh Ch W. Scarlett Ribbon) will be the winners of these. Congratulations to all owner/handlers and many thanks for all your efforts which have cetainly contibuted to making this such a special year for us. 16th December - final show of the year for me, LKA at the NEC. All Wansleydale's went home with a prize card today but the "star" yet again was Sh Ch Wansleydale Star Queen of Glenmaurangi who was Best of Breed. What a year she has had - many congratulations to owner/handlers Tereza, Angela and Kerry. Wansleydale Magic Rose also had a good day winning both of her classes which takes her points total very close to that required for her Junior Warrant - hopefully she will acheive that very soon for owners Stuart & Yvonne. Somehow I managed to enter Margo in the wrong class, she should have been in Post Graduate and I had mistakenly put her in open. So I was delighted when she was placed second, beaten only by the lovely Star. 15th December - More good news from the "Polish" Wansleydales! This time it is Dorota and Kinga with the "twins", Robin and Jude who had a great day at the Lubin championship show.Robin was declared Best Junior and Jude, who was in the higher Intermediate class for the first time not only won the class but also the bitch CAC and then reserve CACIB.These lovely show wins follow on from the excellent news of their recent health tests - both have scored A/A for hips and 0/0 for elbows. Well done all!
9th December - many congratulations to Zeib and Bonnie. At the Wels show in Austria Bonnie was awarded Best of Breed and now carries the title, International Champion Wansleydale Orszak Gold. This makes our 4th Interchampion along with W. Orszak Prince, W Woodpecker at Berrywood and, from many years ago, W. Stay Lucky. Bonnie, International Show Champion Wansleydale Orszak Gold in the group ring in Austria 1st December - Wansleydale Goldsmith (Jos) wins Best of Breed for owner Jeanette at Exonian Open Show. Recently his image has been used by a Polish company for graphics on many everyday items, ideal for Setter enthusiasts such as mugs, bags, tea shirts etc. So you may see a lot of Jos about in the near future!

November 2018:
30th November - a visit today of stud dog owner, Wendy to see Lizzy and Hector's puppies who are now 3 weeks old. They don't do much at the moment!
25th November- Midland English Setter Society open show, close to home at Baginton. Really enjoy the MESS shows and this one was no exception, made extra special as Dash wins Best in Show and Margo wins Reserve Best in show. In fact it was a family affair as Margo's daughter, Molly (W.Cointreau for Shadymore) wins her class and the Reserve Best bitch award for owners Amanda and Roger.
18th November - left David at home puppy sitting and went off to Southern English Setter Society's championship show at Swindon. A lovely show and although still 5 weeks to Christmas has a festive atmosphere. Second place today for Jeanette with Jos (W. Goldsmith) and seconds also for Stuart & Yvonne with Rosie (W.Magic Rose). Also a second for our Alice in Limit but she later went on to beat Whisper , who won the Open Bitch class, to take the reserve CC. This is Alice's last show in 2018 and so since returning to Wansleydale in the summer she has won 2 CC and 2 reserve CCS for me and co owner Diane. We are very pleased with her results and look forward to campaigning her, hopefully to her title, in 2019.
10th November - A busy show day for those making the long trip to Edinburgh, 2 shows on the same day at the same venue.First show was the Gundog Breeds Association of Scotland's championship show followed by the English Setter Society of Scotland's breed open show. Represented today by Rupert, Rosie and Star who all did well for their owners- red cards all round with Star winning reserve CC in the morning and then Reserve BIS in the afternoon. I didn't make it to Scotland as I was at home with Lizzy who, with the help of the vet, produced 4 lovely puppies. Pleased to say all are doing very well.
3rd November - Setter & Pointer championship show at Stafford. All Wansleydales, Rupert, Rosie, Molly and Whisper in the cards today with yet again Star taking the spotlight. Not only did she win Best of Breed but went on to win Best in Show!. What a day - many congratulations to owner/handlers Tereza, Angela and Kerry. Sadly no photograph - the official photographer refused my written request to use his photo just on this website unless I paid full price for a print. What a meanie!
October 2018:
31st October - Gundog Society of Wales championship show at Malvern.First show for Dash for over 3 months and I am pleased to say he wins the junior class again.Good placings for Whisper and Rupert, the reserve CC for Star , and a lovely Best Veteran win for Barbara with Sonny ( W.Tribute to Jolymore)
28th October - Linda and Rupert win Best of Breed at Yorkshire Gundog open show. 27th/30th October - good couple of shows for Robin, Best of Breed at both Gundog Field & Show and IGFF speciality show. These wins ensure that Robin finishes 2018 as the top winning English Setter in Ireland. Very well done to Brendan and the rest of the Carty family.
25th October - Midland Counties championship show at Stafford. Rupert, Acer, Frazer, Rosie all in the cards again today with Alice and Whisper both second in their classes. Yet again winning Best Bitch was Star - well done all. 11th October - very special day for Wansleydale Strega across in Poland winning European Junior Winners title at the Eurodog show.
Bonnie - Polish Champion Wansleydale Orszak Gold 8th October - another good win for Brendan and Robin today. This time it is Best of Breed and Gundog Group 3 at the IKC International Show. Brendan with Robin, Int Ch Wansleydale Woodpecker at Berrywood 7th October - great start to the month at South Wales Kennel Association championship show where our lovely Alice wins her 2nd CC. Alice ready for the show Whisper was 1st in Open Bitch and Rupert, Jos, Rosie and Molly were all well placed today for their owners.
September 2018:
28/29th September - quiet weekend for us but Rupert and Robin have been doing well. Brendan and Robin (Int Ch W. Woodpecker at Berrywood) wins Best of Breed at Belfast Championship show and Linda with Rupert Bear (W. Dorian Gray) wins Best in Show at Hull & East Riding Limit show. 21st September - Driffield Championship at Wetherby. No CCs for our breed today so a small entry with just 2 Wansleydales - Linda with W. Dorian Gray who was 1st in Junior and Tereza with Star who won Best of Breed. Since having her litter Star is really blooming, looks fantastic and today won Gundog Group 4 - many congratulations to owner/handler Tereza and co-owners Angela and Kerry. Sh Ch Wansleydale Star Queen at Glemaurangi winning Gundog Group 4 Star is now the 3rd member of this litter, joining brother Sh Ch Wansleydale King's Magic JW and sister Sh Ch Wansleydale Queen Bee JW to win a championship group placing - what a litter it has turned out to be. Their litter sister, Wansleydale Fairie Queen at Bramstorm has 1CC & 2 reserve CCs to date - hopefully it will be her turn next!16th September - doesn't seem a year ago since I judged at this show! Good results for all Wansleydales there today, particularly pleased with my 2nd in Limit with Alice and 2nd in Open with Whisper who was back on form today after her poor performance at Birmingham the other week. Star took 1st in the same class and went on to win the reserve bitch CC.
9th September - Richmond championship show. Firsts for Star in Open Bitch and Jos (Wansleydale Goldsmith) in Post Graduate dog and some good class placings in Junior and Beginners bitch for Rosie (W. Amaretto). I was disappointed not to be able to show today but had to rush to the opposite end of the country with Lizzy (Sh Ch W Queen Bee) as it was time for her to be mated to the handsome Daraquist Billy Bong. Just have to wait a few weeks now to see if their liaison has been successful. Lizzy and Hector 3rd September - Bella's daughter, Wansleydale Magic Rose came over today for a trim. She is starting to look very like her mum and amazingly for 12months old has an even better coat already! 2nd September - Reasonably short distance to travel for today's show- Stonleigh for The City of Birmingham's championship show. Good placings for all today, particularly pleased for Brendan who made the long journey from Ireland and was 2nd in a strong Open dog class with Robin. The only one to let us down was Whisper who just did not want to show today which is most unlike her and rightly ended up with last place in her class. However this was made up for by Tereza and Star ( Sh Ch W. Star Queen at Glenmaurangi) who won the class, best bitch and finished up as Best of Breed.
August 2018:
19th August - Welsh Kennel Club championship show at Builth Wells. Decided to give this show a miss, a long way to travel and a judge that doesn't particularly do my breeding well. Looking at the results all the Wansleydales there today were placed - perhaps not as highly as they would have liked. I did warn them! 19th August - another good day for Brendan and the " Irish Robin" , Green Star and Best of Breed for them at Clonmel All Breeds championship show. Robin - Int Ch Wansleydale Woodpecker at Berrywood 12th August - it's a Best of Breed and Gundog Group 3 today for Linda and Rupert at Scunthorpe open show.11th August - hard to believe it is a year since Margo's litter of 11 puppies were born. The 4 girls that went to show homes in the UK - Cointreau, Frangelico, Chatreuse and Ameratto, have all had some lovely wins for their new owners and are all Crufts 2019 qualified. The 2 that " emigrated", Maraschino and Strega, have certainly made a name for themselves in Poland and are already Polish Junior Champions. Hope they all enjoy more success as they continue to mature.
9-12th August, The World Dog Show in Amsterdam. Only Kinga with Jude representing us as Dorota has had to stay home keeping an eye on Robin, who although recovering now, has been very poorly for a couple of weeks with a very nasty stomach bug that was not responding well to antibiotics. Although not a class winner this time Jude received "excellent" gradings from the judges and Kinga was very happy with her performance.
4/5th August, Two championship shows this weekend - Saturday at Paignton and Sunday at Malvern for the National Gundog Show. Too much travelling for me so I opted just to do the Sunday show - others obviously have more stamina! A sucessful show for those that made it to Paignton - second prizes for Lynne with Wansleydale Frazer & Jeanette with W. Goldsmith, first place in Puppy Bitch for Amanda with Molly (Wansleydale Cointreau for Shadymore) and the reserve CC for Tereza & Angela with Star (Sh Ch W. Star Queen at Glenmaurangi). At National Gundog Star goes one better, beating Whisper and Peaches along the way, to win the Open class and the bitch CC. In addition to this there were some nice placings all round - firsts for Linda & Rupert (W. Dorian Gray) and Yvonne with Rosie (W. Magic Rose). Second places today for Amanda with Molly (W. Cointreau for Shadymore) and Ruth with Rachel (W. Frangelico for Mirkwood). Arras made a rare show appearance and was 4th in Limit with Frazer coming 5th in the same class. All in all a good weekend for everyone.

Int Ch Wansleydale Woodpecker at Berrywood 20th July - pleased to see the BVA results of Dash's hip scoring on the Kennel club data base this evening - 4:3 (total 7) so delighted with that.15th July -Southern English Setter Society's open show at Chieveley. Another long hot day but again very much a garden party atmosphere around the ring. Dash got us off to a good start by winning the Junior and Special Yearling dog classes.During the lunch break the special stakes classes were held, with a different judge officiating - Dash won the Junior Stakes and Margo the Open stakes - we even won some prize money! The main show then recommenced with the bitch classes - Yvonne with Rosie (W. Congratulations to you all.
8th July - English Setter Association open show - A busy day as apart from showing I also have committee duties. A very hot day today but the setting for the show had a garden party atmosphere and the Association was also running a "funshow" for other breeds and non pedigree dogs at the same time. First and second prizes for both Dash and Stuart & Yvonne's Rosie, but topping the bill today was Whisper ( Wetherby Whisper to Wansleydale) who won Best in Show) Best in Show line up, English Setter Association 2018

June 2018:
30th June - Kilkenny show in Ireland and congratulations to Brendan with Robin, Int Ch Wansleydale Woodpecker at Berrywood, on winning the Green Star and Best of Breed.
International Champion Wansleydale Woodpecker at Berrywood 28th June - busy day trimming my own dogs and others, including Arras who hasn't been shown recently. He has really matured over the last year and is now in lovely coat and hopefully Nigel will have him back in the show ring this summer. Anlory Arras 24th June - close to home today for a change at Derbyshire County Show. A lovely venue at Locko Park - it was a really hot day and luckily English Setters were first to be judged at 9.00am.Disappointingly Dash was the only one in his class but Margo had some competition, won her class and then Best of Breed. Today was also the day for the English Setter Association AGM so I had to leave the show immediately after judging to travel to Stafford so missed the opportunity to compete in the Gundog Group.
23rd June - Blackpool championship show - not entered today as spent the week on holiday in Northumberland. A lovely day for Linda with Rupert who won both of his classes and is now well on the way to acheiving his Junior Warrant. Lynne with W. Frazer was 3rd in Post Graduate dog and the 2 litter sisters, W. Frangelico for Mirkwood and W. Chartreuse for Hathermere, were 2nd and 3rd in the Puppy bitch class. Well done all. In the south of the country Louise with tricolour Rosie ( Wansleydale Amaretto) wins Best Puppy and then Gundog Puppy Group 3 at Clacton Open show. Louise is a newcomer to showing and Rosie is her first show dog. To gain experience Louise and Rosie have also been to match meetings winning best puppy and reserve best in match and also a lovely Best Puppy in Show at a local companion show. That's a great way to learn! Rosie, Wansleydale Amaretto at 10 mths old - what a pretty girl. 17th June - Something of a first for the breed today - 2 championship shows on the same day and at the same venue, the lovely showground at Kelso in the Scottish Borders. The first show in the morning was Border Union Agricultural Society - judging got off to a good start with a win in Junior dog for Linda and Rupert (W.Dorian Gray). Next in the ring was Yvonne with Rosie (W.Magic Rose) who won Puppy bitch.
Challenge for best bitch - thanks to Tereza for handling Alice as I was busy with Scarlet The English Setter Society of Scotland's championship followed on - needless to say this show had different judges to the morning show. Second placings in their classes at this show for Rupert, Rosie and Alice but the star for the second time today was Scarlet who finished up as Best in Show. I don't tend to show my dogs very often once they have acheived their titles, which Scarlet did in 2015, and so it is well over 2 years since she was last in the show ring. She certainly hadn't forgotten what to do and what an achievement to win 2 Best of Breeds on the same day. Certainly a little bit of breed history there! It was such lovely weather Stuart, Yvonne and I decided to stay in Northumberland after the show for a few days to let the dogs enjoy the beach and the sea.
10th June - Three Counties championship show at Malvern. Well, 7 Wansleydales there and all in the cards today. First places for our Dash and also Molly (Golby's W.Cointreau at Shadymore) Second places for Sonny (Jolley's W.Tribute to Jolymore), Rosie (Wales's W.Magic Rose) and our Margo, 3rd prize for Jos (Butler's W. Goldsmith) and a forth for Frazer (Sketchley's W. Frazer). Well done all!
9th June - another succesful day for the Wansleydales in Poland. Again 2 shows in one day for them - the championship show for Hunting Breeds and then later in the day the Pointing Dogs club show. At both shows Robin and Jude win their Junior classes with Robin taking Best Junior award and Best Dog at the first show. Bonnie wins Best Bitch at the second show. Keep up the good work! 3rd June - Not so close to home today; Alice and I are off to Chieveley with Stuart, Yvonne and Rosie for Southern Counties Championship show. Well, what a day! It's Rupert's birthday today so this is his last puppy class and he celebrates in style by winning Best Puppy Dog. Continuing her winning streak from yesterday Rosie wins Best Puppy Bitch and then beats Rupert to the Best Puppy in Breed award. But the undisputed star today is Alice - she not only wins her Post Graduate class but then goes on to be awarded the CC! What a lovely start to her show career in this new partnership - Diane and I were delighted!
2nd June - Melton Mowbray show. Dash has a second today in the puppy class - beaten by Yvonne with Rosie (Wansleydale Magic Rose). It was a good day for Rosie as she then went on to win the Gundog Puppy Group - what a girl! Yvonne with Rosie - Wansleydale Magic Rose
May 2018:
30th May - Staffordshire Agricultural show and a Best Puppy and Reserve Best of Breed for Linda and Rupert today.
29th May - Boston Premier show at Newark. Best Puppy, Best of Breed and a lovely Gundog Puppy Group 2 award for Dash. 28th May - today we are very happy to welcome home Alice (Wansleydale Yellow Ribbon). Alice is one of Scarlet's daughters and left us to join Sharon and Diane, the Ravensett/ Bridgella partnership, when she was 14 mths old. As Sharon is now planning to move to Spain it was decided the best thing for Alice was for her to return to us. Alice will live here at Wansleydale and is to be owned in partnership with Diane (Bridgella). Diane and I are anticipating a succesful show career for Alice - picking up from her very successful puppy wins.
27th May - A better day today for Linda and Rupert, Best Puppy and Gundog Puppy Group 3 at North Riding Gundog show. Across at Shropshire Gundog show Andrea wins not only Best Puppy with Wansleydale Chartreuse at Hathermere but also Reserve Best of Breed.
26th May - Judging GSPs at Bath championship show today. A really enjoyable day with some lovely dogs on show.
19th May- Both Rosie's doing well at the shows this weekend. Yvonne with Wansleydale Magic Rose win Best Puppy at Loughborough open show and Louise with Wansleydale Amaretto are Best Puppy and also a lovely Gundog Puppy Group 2 at Wickford Basildon.
13th May - in Poland it is the Lodz CACIB show with English judge Patsy Hollings judging. A great day for the Wansleydales - Bonnie best bitch and Best of Breed, Robin best male at only 9mths old and also Junior Best of Breed and sister Jude 2nd in her class. This win gives Robin the first points for his Junior championship.
12th May - off on holidays (well a holiday for me, David is working). Up to the Highlands of Scotland, taking GSPs Lottie and Karla with us. Means we are missing this weeks shows - Birmingham National & Scottish Kennel Club championships and Midland English Setter open show.Linda and Rupert have been doing some travelling - rewarded with a 2nd at Birmingham, 1st & 2nd at SKC and several class wins plus Reserve Best Puppy in Show at Midland English.
May 7th - Northwest Canine Society - Best Puppy today for Ruth and Jeff with Rachel (W.Frangelico at Mirkwood) beating Rupert and Linda into second place. It really is a battle of Wansleydale puppies at the moment! Nice that they are all doing their fair share of winning. May 5th - Northern English Setter Society decided this year to hold both of their annual open shows on the same day. Same venue but different judges for the morning and afternoon shows. It was a lovely hot day and we all sat around the ring enjoying the sunshine and the lovely cakes this society always produce!"Wansleydales" had a very successful day with all being placed in their classes. In the morning Dash finished as best Puppy in Show and Molly won the same award in the afternoon show.

April 2018:
29th April - well across in Poland it's another Best Puppy in Show for one of Margo and Arras's puppies at only 8 months old.
This time it is Wansleydale Maraschino, Robin, taking the top award at the Opole International championship show (multi breed)- many congratulations to Dorota and Kinga. His litter sister, Wansleydale Strega, is hopefully making her show debut in Poland in a few weeks time.
22nd April - one of the major shows in the year for English Setters, The English Setter Association breed championship. A busy time for me as I am both exhibitor and working committee member today. Exciting time as 2 of Margo's puppies make their championship debut today - in fact with Stuart & Yvonne's puppy Rosie (from Bella & Charlie's litter last year) we have 3 "Wansleydale" puppies in the Minor Puppy bitch class which was the first class of the day. Well, a brilliant start to what turned out to be a very successful day! A lovely class of 8 puppy bitches between 6 and 9 months of age - winning the class was Amanda and Roger's Wansleydale Cointreau for Shadymore (Molly), litter sister Rosie (Wansleydale Amaretto) was 5th for Louise who is a newcomer to this showing lark, and 4th to Yvonne with a very wriggly W. Magic Rose (another Rosie - can see this may get a bit confusing!)
Best in Show line up for ESA 2018 with judges and society officers Thanks to Chris Bird/ESA for some of the photos.15th April - no shows for me this weekend but Linda and Rupert continued their winning ways, this time it was Best Puppy in Show at Bridlington! Linda with Rupert ( Wansleydale Dorian Gray) winning Best Puppy in Show 8th April - English Setter Society of Wales championship show. A new venue for this show - sports hall with the most awful lighting so consequently all photos are poor. Star of the day for us was Lizzy who won Best Bitch and then Reserve Best in Show. Best in Show line up - English Setter Society of Wales 2018 ( photos - ESSW) A return to the showring today for Margo ( Wansleydale Margarita). Margo has only been to 3 shows before and her last appearance was in June 2016 so quite a day for her. Pleased to say she showed really well and won her class.
7th April - more news from overseas. Show debut for another " Robin" - this time Wansleydale Maraschino, a tri dog puppy from Margo's litter last summer who now lives with Dorota in Poland.Congratulations - a lovely start to his show career as he takes Best Puppy in breed. Wansleydale Maraschino at his first show. 3rd April - taking advantage of a sunny morning to enjoy a walk in Wollaton Park with Dash and Lizzy. Took the opportunity to have a show practice with Dash as he still gets very tense at the shows and spoils his outline. Much more relaxed here in the park today and consequently looking much better. 1st April - great news from the Carty family over in Ireland; at an International show yesterday Robin was Best of Breed and this win earns him the title of International Show Champion. Many congratulations to you all - hopefully he will add the title of UK Show Champion over the next year or two. International Champion Wansleydale Woodpecker of Berrywood. We are delighted that Robin becomes the 3rd Wansleydale bred dog to date to gain this International champion title.
March 2018:
31st July - another open show at Newark. We are not entered today but puppy was won by Jeff & Ruth Robert's " Rachel" (Wansleydale Frangelico at Mirkwood) with Linda Lawson's boy "Rupert" (Wansleydale Dorian Gray) coming second. Well done all!
17th March - another outing for Dash, this time winning best English Setter Puppy at Nottingham Sherwood Foresters show at Newark. Too cold to wait for the Gundog Puppy Group! 11th March - Crufts Dog Show at the NEC. An early start with judging at 8.30am. First in the ring was Dash who won his class and also the Best Puppy Dog award. Ingrid with Acer and Lynne with Frazer won second and third places in the Post Graduate dog class but sadly Charlie in Open failed to catch the judge's eye today (perhaps he should have gone to Specsavers!). The only Wansleydale bred bitch at Crufts today was Bonnie - all the way over from Poland with owner Zbie. She looked really well and was second in Special yearling so that made the long journey worth while.
4th March - last show in Poland before Bonnie makes the long journey to the UK for Crufts. So looking forward to seeing her again - the last time was when we waved her off to her new home back in August 2016. Wansleydale Orszak Gold - Bonnie, winning CACIB (best bitch) at Gniezno International Show
February 2018:
28th February - we have snow! The dogs are really enjoying it especially Dash as it's his first encounter.
24th February - Lovely win for Dash today at Newark & District Open Show, Best English Setter puppy and also Gundog Puppy Group 3. Dash, at 8 months, all ready for the show 17th February - in the last few weeks two more " Wansleydale " babies have made their show debuts. A very brave Jeff and Ruth Roberts took their puppy, Rachel (Wansleydale Frangelico at Mirkwood) to Huddersfield open show when she was just 6 months old on the day. Pups are such a handful at this age but apparently she took it all in her stride and came 3rd out of a class of 8 of gundog puppies. What a lovely start to her show career. No current photos of her but a couple of her as a younger puppy. Linda Lawson has also ventured out with her boy, Rupert - Wansleydale Dorian Gray (litter brother to Dash) but disappointingly he was the only one enterd in his puppy class. Still, Linda says he enjoyed his day out and behaved very well in the show ring.
4th February - Midland English Setter Society (MESS) championship show at Stoneleigh. This is the first of the breed club championship shows in 2018 and always one of my favourite shows. Well, another succesful day for Wansleydale bred dogs! First in the ring was Dash who won both of his classes and then later in the day was awarded Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Next to be shown was Jeanette Butler's Wansleydale Goldsmith (Jos) who won 1st in Undergraduate, followed soon after by Ingrid and Wansleydale Ace of Hearts over Ingella winning the Post Graduate dog class. Across in the bitch ring Lizzy won the Open Bitch class, the Bitch CC and finished the day Reserve Best in Show!
MESS 2018 Best in Show line up (left to right - Best Veteran, Best Bitch -RBIS, Best Dog -BIS and Best Puppy in Show) with judges Aleks Greenhalgh and Keith Young Across in Poland Zieb wins the CACIB and Best of Breed with Bonnie ( Wansleydale Orszak Gold) at Bydgoszcz championship show.
January 2018:
21st January - first show for Dash, Manchester Championship show, and what a great start. He not only wins his Minor Puppy Dog class but then beats the Puppy Dog class winner to take the Best Puppy Dog award. He was very well behaved considering he has only been to two ring training classes and even settled happily in his crate on the bench.
5th January - super start to the New Year, Stella and Peaches (Wansleydale Fairie Queen at Bramstorm) win Best of Breed at Boston. Introducing the latest member of our show team - Wansleydale Quicksilver. Dash as he is known at home is the son of Sh Ch Wansleydale Scarlet from her litter last summer sired by Sh Ch Richecca Shades of Grey. He has his show debut later in January so now it's time for some show trimming and training.
